Minutes of an EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF LYTCHETT MATRAVERS PARISH COUNCIL
Held on Monday January 5th 2015 at 7:30 in the Sports Club Pavilion, High Street Car Park.
PRESENT were Cllrs: M Colvey, A Bush, A Cottman, A Huggins, R Carswell, I Maitland, K Norris, P Webb, E Wilson, and Mr T Watton (Parish Clerk).
One member of the public was also present.
1. REceipt of apologies for absence – Cllrs C Wood and J Taylor
2. Consideration of quotation for replacement heaters in Club Hall.
The Lighthouse Family Church notified the council that the heaters in Club Hall were not working. When an electrician inspected them he found that 4 heaters that were beyond repair and required replacing (3 in the main hall and 1 in the back room). The contractor recommend two options :
- Eco model heaters at £250.00 each
- Cheaper but less efficient heaters at £128.00 each
Labour for fitting either type of heater was noted to be £100.
After some discussion the Parish Council firstly accepted that it would meet this cost, and that it preferred the cheaper option. It was therefore RESOLVED to authorise an expenditure of £612.00 for this.
It was agreed that the Council Chairman would respond to the Lighthouse Family Church accordingly.
There being no other business, the meeting closed at 7:20pm.
