Lytchett Matravers is having a Neighbourhood Plan referendum on 4th May 2017

Lytchett Matravers Parish Council have been working hard on behalf of all residents to develop a Neighbourhood Plan.

What is the Neighbourhood Plan?

Neighbourhood Plans are not intended to promote or restrict development; they are a way of ensuring that local people have their say in the decision making process.

The plan aims to preserve the character of Lytchett Matravers as a distinct village, whilst addressing the housing needs of the local community.

In 2015 everyone in the village had the chance to respond to the draft plan, and it is now ready to be finalised.

This requires the village to agree to the plan in a referendum, which will be taking place on Thursday 4th May, at the same time as the County Council elections. (All residents will have a polling card for both).

We hope you’ll vote yes – but more importantly the Parish Council are keen for people to understand what the Plan is and what you are voting for…. so please do have a look at the Plan at the link at the top of the page (or visit www.lmnp.org.uk) for more details before the referendum takes place next week.

What is that extra polling card for?
