Photograph of the Youth HallThe plans around the Youth Hall are taking shape and we are still keen to hear from any individuals or groups who might have ideas for new and innovative ways that the space can be used for the benefit of the village and our community.

It is a good size and could be used for many things. For the youth it would be great to consider afterschool activities around homework, hobbies, exercise or even just relaxation. In addition, community coffee mornings, a play group, an IT office space or even a repair workshops / upcycling club.

To help move this along, we are looking to have an open day and exhibition in early October, to remind people what an excellent space it is and help generate ideas for how it can be used to provide both a community and youth focused asset for the village. We will post further updates on here and social media to confirm the dates and times for this.

In the meantime, we also need the help of anyone who might like to assist with a first stage make over, clearing, cleaning, gardening, plumbing, carpentry, painting or decorating the space for this new stage in its life.

If you have any ideas for community and youth oriented activities that you might like to run from the Youth Hall, or would like to volunteer to help with the immediate make-over, please do get in touch – email lytchettmatravers@dorset-aptc.gov.uk or contact Cllr Barker
