Welcome to the Guerrilla Gardeners

The Guerrilla Gardeners (GGs) are a volunteer group of village residents who tackle overgrown areas of the village. They can be seen usually on Tuesday mornings in their resplendent orange hi-viz tops. The group is supported by the Parish Council in line with the overall aim of improving the appearance of the village. Their focus is principally on the areas owned by the Parish Council (Recreation Ground, Foxhills Open Space, Lytchett Astro, Old School Green, Library Green, Allotments) as well as looking at areas belonging to Dorset Council that need more frequent visits than they provide. These are mainly common areas such as roadside verges, pavement clearance and widening, certain overhanging hedges.

The GG year runs from March to November and if you have suggestions for areas for them to consider please contact the Parish Clerk.

Below, you can find the latest Diary entries from the Guerrillas.
