On the 5th March about 40 residents, including children, spent 2 hours cleaning up our village and you can see the results!
Clean for The Queen inspired Lytchett Matravers Parish Council get encourage as many people to get involved with the event – We hold regular Litter pick days in Lytchett Matravers which are always well attended. We had about 40 volunteers on the day.
This time we had the use of 3 vehicles which enabled our haul to include tyres, car bumpers and other car parts plus large plastic containers and discarded wood. Most of this came from Foxhills Road and a section of the Wareham Road between the A35 and the village sign. We would like to think that clean entrances deter litter louts but…..
Remember, you can report fly tipping to Purbeck District Council and they will arrange for its removal.
Grateful thanks to all who made this litter pick such a success and please note our next one will be at 10 am on Saturday 25th June, starting at the recreation ground car park (village hall end).
The Litter pick was organized by Cllr Keith Norris. Keith said “It’s great to see our villagers getting stuck in to make a difference in our community”
