The skate park refurbishment work was finally completed this month and the skate ramps are now back up and available for use #UpOnTheRec.The work has been extensive and has taken much longer than we anticipated. This was because once the running surfaces were removed, it exposed a large area of corrosion in the underpinning framework that had to be dealt with.
We are delighted to say that Evolution Skateparks undertook this work free of charge as it was deemed to be worse than the manufacturers would have estimated for the age of the frame.
As an additional bonus, the firm kindly used their JCB to move the bark chippings around the area for us while they were on site.
