Dorset Council has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Jennys Lane, Lytchett Matravers between Cherrytree and Abbots Orchard, a distance of approximately 50 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2nd May 2023 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9th May 2023.

This Order will enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to install a new electricity supply in the highway.

The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows: High Street – Middle Road – Eddy Green Road and vice versa, as can be seen in the official notice (see below, or download the PDF here).

For further information about the work being undertaken, call Scottish and Southern Power Distribution on 07586 281877. To discuss this Order, call Dorset Highways Traffic Team on 01305 221020 or email trafficteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk.
