photo of some rubbishThe Parish Autumn litter pick took place on Sunday 18th September.

There were less attendees than usual, but the volunteers were able to clear several of the roads in the heart of the village. They reported back that they found less litter than usual, which is good news, and reflects the fact that many people are now in the habit of clearing litter when they are out walking around the village.  In addition, the Guerrilla Gardeners regularly clear the Recreation ground and areas around the main roads and High Street. This is a great community effort and makes a big difference to the village.

Unfortunately, there has been a spate of fly-tipping again recently. You can report fly tipping to Dorset Council via their website, and they will usually be able to remove it within a few days.
