The Parish Council in conjunction with a working group from St. Marys Church have cleared the lower section of Church Walk up to the bend. The path had become increasingly narrow, but is now about 3 metres wide all the way up to the bend.
The volunteers have also partly buried some cross path branches to try to limit the water flow down the path to the church.
There will be more working parties to work on the top section. If you would like to join the working party to get this done in the next couple of weeks, please contact Alf Bush (01202-622500).
Even if you don’t wish to join a working party, just take a walk down to the church on a spring day. This route was one of the traditional village pathways and you can see why. The snowdrops are already out, so this is a great time to go and have a look.
