This post has been replaced by a new notice from Dorset Council on the planned closure.

The previously notified road works planned for Jennys Lane/Dolmans Hill has had to be rescheduled again.

A notice from Dorset Council states:

We have unfortunately had to rescheduled Insitu surface treatment work planed for Jennys Lane/Dolmans Hill Lytchett Matravers the works will now take place between 4th and 14th July 2022. The road will be closed between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 but it will be open overnight.

During the closure periods there will be no on street parking available. Parking restrictions will be imposed to prevent waiting or parking on the roads stated above. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been towed the owner will need to contact our towing contractors Bride Valley on 01305 889421.

We will be repairing sections of road within the area marked in red indicated on the map. The diversion route is marked in blue. National regulations state that we have to divert traffic onto the same classification of road as the one we have closed.

Vehicular and pedestrian access will be maintained for residents, however there may be a time where they are asked to wait depending on the current activity on site.

An allowance for school transport can be made. If you could please provide us by return email the registrations and time periods of which vehicles could pass through the closure, we will endeavour to accommodate your requirements.

We will contact you again nearer the time to confirm the dates of the work and the closure needed.
