Guerrilla Gardener’s Diary: 5th April 2022

This week we continued working on the Recreation Ground –  cutting back the edges around the hard surface area next to the skate park. The ball court area is now exposed back to its origin

al size.

We also started on the overgrown border from the top of Pond Walk going around to Rocket Park. We do need to keep the drainage grills clear to ensure that the surface water will run-off properly and the brambles were very overgrown.

Looks like there may be some sloes starting to grow and there will be space for more planting as we progress.

We finally managed to install the long-awaited new dog bin on the corner of Middle Road and Old Pound Close. There was one next to where the bench used to be – so watch this space.
