Thursday June 2nd – Beacon Lighting on the Rec from 8pm
Celebrations will start from 8pm, with traditional Bagpipes from 21:15pm and the Beacon Lighting at 21:45pm.
The Chequers are providing a pop-up bar at the Sports Pavilion. The Kingsbere Fish & Chip van will be there to help you enjoy your evening together with hot drinks from the Village Hall.
Sunday June 5th – The Big Jubilee Picnic on the Rec from 2-6pm
😎Put up a gazebo, bring some tables & a few festival chairs, or simply throw a rug on the ground to get involved.
🧺🧺You could bring your own picnic, or pre-order one from Café Greywood to collect in the morning before the event.
🥂🍵The Rose & Crown are providing a pop-up bar and hot beverages will be available.
🍨🍦Mister Softee ice-creams of Ice Cream Bournemouth will pop by at 4:30pm
🎂😎If you want to challenge your creative baking skills, why not enter the Jubilee Cake Bake Competition in the Village Hall. Jubilee inspired cakes should be delivered by 3pm. Judging will take place from 3:30-4pm. Entry categories include: Preschool, Primary school, Secondary school and ‘General’, for everyone else. Winners will be announced at 4:10pm to ensure there is plenty of time to enjoy eating all the cakes afterwards
🎸🎶🎵 On the stage there will be lots of local musicians offering something for everyone, including the Chris Manning Band and the Frayed Strings Ukulele, the K2S Choir from the Primary School and the Two Men Travelling Medicine Show to lead the finale
