It is just 7 weeks to the Lytchett Matravers Queens Jubilee Celebrations events on the Recreation Ground.
Thursday June 2nd Beacon Lighting
Celebrations start from around 21.00pm and Beacon will be lit at 21:45. The Chequers are providing a bar and the Fish & Chip van will be there to provide refreshments and help you enjoy your evening.
Sunday June 5th – The Big Jubilee Picnic on the Rec
The Big Jubilee Village Picnic will start at 2-6pm on the Recreation Ground.
Bring a picnic, a few festivals chairs, or simply throw a rug on the ground to get involved. If you want to organise for a larger group, have some tables & put up a gazebo, just let us know 😊
Café Greywood are offering jubilee picnic boxes that can be pre-ordered and collected in the morning before the event.
The Rose & Crown are providing a bar. The Village Hall & Sports Pavilion will also be available.
There will be a stage, and some local musicians, including The Chris Manning Band and the Frayed Strings Ukulele.
We would like to encourage village groups, organisations and clubs to get invovled, especially if you are able to provide some music, help towards decorating the village, or would like to offer food for sale on the day, such as pizza, donuts, cake or coffee. We are also looking for some volunteers to help set up (& clear away!).
