Temporary closure of various roads around Lytchett Matravers – June 2022

Dorset Council has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 15th June 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23rd June 2022.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

1. To impose temporary road closure on Various Roads, Lytchett Matravers as listed:
   • Eddy Green Road, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Dolmans Hill to the junction with Middle Street;
   • Middle Road, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Halls Road to the junction with High Street;
   • Bartons Lane, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Eddy Green Road to the junction with Middle Road;
   • Dillons Gardens from the junction with Wareham Road;
   • Loop Farm Road, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Castle Farm Road to the junction with Loop Farm Road;
   • Dullar Lane, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with A31 to the junction with Colehill Road.
2. To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Various Roads, Lytchett Matravers as listed:
   • Eddy Green Road, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Dolmans Hill to the junction with Middle Street;
   • Middle Road, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Halls Road to the junction with High Street;
   • Bartons Lane, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Eddy Green Road to the junction with Middle Road;
   • Dillons Gardens from the junction with Wareham Road;
   • Loop Farm Road, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Castle Farm Road to the junction with Loop Farm Road;
   • Dullar Lane, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with A31 to the junction with Colehill Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above and the works are weather dependant.
