Notice of Eddy Green Road closure from Dorset County Council

“I have received an application from A-Plant Lux, agents for BT Openreach, to close part of EDDY GREEN ROAD, LYTCHETT MATRAVERS between Eddy Green Farm and Arnold’s Cottage, a distance of approximately 150 metres. The closure has been requested to allow BT Openreach to carry out cabling on their overhead network for a new customer. These works are programmed to commence on Tuesday 28 February 2017 for 2 days with an end date of Wednesday 01 March 2017. The road will be closed between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs daily. It will be open at all other times. The road closure is necessary for safety reasons, as the works will take place within the whole width of the carriageway.

A-Plant Lux will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The following map shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route.

This document is for information only. However, if you have any concerns about this proposal, please contact John Alford (trafficteam@dorsetcc.gov.uk) by Wednesday 15 February 2017.”
