Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Huntick Road, Lytchett Matravers from the junction with Randalls Hill to the track leading to Huntick Farm Cottage (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1900 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 08:00 until 18:00 on 21st February 2022 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25th February 2022.

This Notice will enable Openreach safe access to install underground and overhead cabling.

The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows: B3067 Dorchester Road, Bakers Arms Roundabout, A35 Dorchester Road, Wareham Road, Huntick Road and vice versa. Residents and businesses living within the closed stretch of road will be allowed access.
